An experienced Open Source Web Applications Developer who has the ability to work to high levels on large scale online applications both front-end and back-end development. I am experienced in html, xhtml (W3C transitional/strict), CSS, PHP, MySQL, Jquery (including ajax and animation), Zend FrameWork, SVN Subversion, Linux, Apache and more (full LAMP stack). Along with my technical skills I am a team player with the capacity of managing and taking a hands-on approach to work.

You can usually find me in front of a computer working, studying and collaborating with other 'Open Source Developers' around the World, however my lovely fiancee Sara makes sure I get away from the screen once in a while.

Talk on the benefits of Zend Framework, including on a Mobile Device, Sept 2009

Recently I was asked to give a talk on Zend Framework and using it with a Web Application specifically designed for the mobile device. Initially I was very excited and gladly accepted, as I was keen to speak about an area which I am very interested in. However, a few minutes later realised how nervous I was.

The audience was to be a mixture of technical and non-technical colleagues, and accordingly I felt that it was important to achieve the right balance and tone to ensure that the content of the presentation was accessible but still interesting and challenging.
